We just finished playing this, and we had a good time! There were a few puzzles where we got stuck and got frustrated because we were associating early clues with the wrong puzzle (aka the clues were given along with a puzzle it didn't belong to). But overall it was really well set up and I liked the answer checking system with the digital lock. It made it easy to get through the ones we got stuck on. The app also made it immersive! Thanks for giving us a fun escape game date :)
(Also in reference to another comment - even if you did use AI art, you used it as a tool to help add to your game. You weren't advertising pictures for sale or art prints that were all AI generated. You were advertising an escape game with puzzles and clues where the pictures are only supplemental to the existing content. I'm an artist, and I think AI is just another tool. Yes there are people who abuse it and use it to cheat the system and pass it off as their own work. In no way does your game come across that way. Just my 2 cents.)
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and thoughts! Looking back, the first episode's puzzles might have turned out a bit too challenging as an introduction. The puzzles in the second episode are actually more straightforward. I always encourage players to use the hints in the app to keep the experience fun.
I'm glad I didn't pay for this game, it would have been disrespectful to charge for a game with AI generated images...
I completely understand the sentiment people have against AI-generated images in games - I work in a field which might soon be obsolete because of AI.
On the other hand I would never have been able to make this game without the recent generative AI revolution. This is a hobby project and while I would love to be able to pay an artist to create the art, the game has not generated the income to pay someone to draw even a single image.
I am not a big company trying to cut costs and I think that in some aspects actually the generative AI could act as an enabler of people's creativity. I'd like to think that this project is one such case. However, you are certainly entitled to your opinion on this matter.
I totally get your point of view, I also make games. AI are tools that has been helping us in video games for a long time, but not like this and it is not ready to replace game developers and game artists.
However, it's true that it's great for creating mood boards and prototypes, but a little photomontage would do just fine. But for free content like that, it's not totally disturbing, as long you give the context and warn that there is AI
I'm sorry but your comment is completely disrespectful for the real job behind this game. None of the AI generated pictures are actually part of the puzzle, there are merely illustrations. That's actually a smart way to use AI to make the game more appealing while the real work and added value is inside the puzzle. There is nothing disturbing at all. You should learn how to adapt instead of making such comments that undermine work of others.
Great Game! The puzzles were challenging and the story was engaging. The app integration made the gameplay smooth. The print-and-play format is convenient, and each puzzle connected well with the story. Looking forward to the next episode and recommend it to those who enjoy puzzles and escape room games. After you solve the first puzzle, the game tells you to take the next printed page (4):
Then you need to find out which is the next challenge yourself and then switch to it by turning the first ring (with the symbols) in the lock. The symbol of the second challenge is printed on the railway map, the one shown below:

Yes, I wanted to support non-linear sequence of solving the puzzles in the app, although this is not used in the first game.
